Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before engaging our services

Last Updated: June 11, 2026. These terms govern the relationship between Geo Drills and our clients.

1. Introduction & Acceptance

Welcome to Geo Drills. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the provision of our borehole drilling and related services. By accessing our website, requesting a quotation, or signing an agreement with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.

If you do not agree to any part of these terms, please do not use our website or engage our professional services.

2. Scope of Services

Geo Drills provides specialized drilling and groundwater solutions including, but not limited to:

  • Water borehole drilling and auger drilling
  • Geotechnical and diamond core coring
  • Dolomite risk drilling and cavity investigation
  • Horizontal directional drilling and directional crossings
  • In-situ testing and geotechnical sampling

The specific scope, location, and technical parameters of any project will be detailed in a separate written quotation and work agreement.

3. Client Site Obligations & Access

To perform our drilling services safely and effectively, the client is responsible for:

  • Providing clear and unobstructed access for heavy drilling rigs and support vehicles to the site
  • Identifying and marking any underground utilities, pipes, power lines, or installations before drilling commences
  • Obtaining all necessary municipal permits, environmental clearances, and neighbor approvals
  • Providing water supply if required for the drilling process (e.g., rotary mud drilling)

Geo Drills will not be liable for damage to unmarked underground utility lines, pipes, or cables that were not declared in writing prior to drilling.

4. Quotations, Pricing & Payments

All quotations provided by Geo Drills are estimates based on initial site discussions and geological expectations. Final billing is based on actual depths drilled, casings installed, and materials used.

  • Deposits: A deposit (as specified on the quotation) is required to secure a drilling date.
  • Payment Milestones: Milestone payments may be required during larger projects.
  • Final Settlement: The remaining balance is payable immediately upon completion of the drilling operations, before equipment is demobilized.

5. Geological & Water Yield Disclaimers

Borehole drilling deals with natural, subsurface conditions which cannot be fully predicted. Accordingly, the client acknowledges that:

  • Water Yield: While we use expert hydrogeological assessments, Geo Drills cannot guarantee that water will be found, nor can we guarantee a specific flow rate or yield.
  • Subsurface Hazards: Unstable soil, hard rock layers, cavities, or water-bearing sands may require change of drilling methods or additional casing, which will be charged as variations.
  • Water Quality: We do not guarantee the potability or chemical composition of any groundwater encountered.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on our website, including text, designs, logo marks, graphics, and images, is the intellectual property of Geo Drills or licensed partner platforms. You may not copy, distribute, or reproduce any material without our explicit written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Geo Drills, its directors, and staff shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from site access constraints, unexpected ground settlement, variations in water yield, or delays caused by weather or equipment breakdown.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Geo Drills and its employees from any claims, liabilities, damages, or costs (including legal fees) arising from your failure to provide accurate site information, utility layouts, or legal permissions required for the drilling operations.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
